"Happy" New Year!
Olivia is the only reason I am not actively hunting for a new job. I adore Olivia. I have the greatest fun working with her.. Not as great fun as old times with Megan, of course.. but still wonderful.
There are a few others at this store whose company I enjoy but.. most of them are just not my kind of people.
With that in mind, yesterday and today were lovely days at work :] My phone was dead today so Olivia let me borrow her charger, and it was very kind of her.. Amber's letting me borrow her laptop charger, again.. which is very kind of her as well!
Amber and I went diet grocery shopping because tomorrow we're starting the "South Beach" diet... No sugar for two weeks? I'm not exactly sure I'm going to survive this, lol. I apologize in advance for any irritability that may result in the upcoming few days due to radical changes in my eating habits..........
I ended up going to church with Amber for New Year's Eve last night. We played some games.. and had a great time. Then we watched the ball drop.. and Dick Clark made me feel very sad.. :[
I am looking forward to 2009. 2008 was.. fine... but not all together a particularly satisfying year, I would say.
I was going to dye Amber's hair tonight but I suddenly didn't feel very well so I decided to come home. I'm going to go to bed very shortly. Staying up until 5 am when you have to get up at 10 am is not the best of ideas.. and for what? Nothing, apparently. We'll see..
